The Closing the Gap Women's Conference is a three-day, Spirit-filled gathering designed to equip, empower, and elevate women across generations through the Word of God, prayer, prophetic insight, and discipleship.
For nearly a decade, Closing the Gap has been transforming the lives of women through consistent gatherings centered on spiritual growth, mentorship, and community. On June 25, 2026, we celebrate 10 years of Closing the Gap, a decade of ministry that has touched thousands of women and helped bridge spiritual and generational gaps.
Our theme is EXPANSION, rooted in Genesis 26:22:
“…for now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
This prophetic theme speaks to a season where God is making room, enlarging territory, and increasing capacity for His people to flourish. Throughout the conference, women will be encouraged to step into new dimensions of faith, leadership, influence, and purpose as God expands everything He has placed within them.

She holds a Bachelor's in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Morgan State University and dual Master's degrees in Theology and Education from Dallas Baptist University.
Pastor Venshard K. Dobbins Sr. serves as pastoral covering for Closing the Gap, bringing nearly 30 years of preaching experience and a prophetic gift marked by encouragement, depth, and clarity. He is an Associate Pastor at The Potter's House Church of Dallas, where his passion for Scripture and gifted teaching have made him a trusted voice in one of the nation's most influential ministries. Beyond the pulpit, he carries a proven record of leadership in corporate America, serving in managerial and executive roles distinguished by excellence, vision, and integrity. He is known for his ability to bridge Kingdom truth with practical wisdom, making him a thought leader for the whole person. He is the husband of Elder Christie Dobbins.
